Last week a homeowner tried to 'help' me finish his basement

Guy kept insisting his method for taping was faster, then I had to spend 3 hours fixing his mud lines because they were all humped and bubbled. Has anyone else had a client try to 'show you how it's done' and mess up your whole schedule?

Yeah I had a guy try to "help" paint and he dripped all over my fresh trim.

Three coats of primer and two of paint on my kitchen ceiling and that one spot still shows through because someone didn't let it dry right. I hear you on the drips though, happened to me when my buddy thought he was helping with the baseboards. But honestly man, paying a pro to do it would have cost me four hundred bucks and I learned more from fixing those mistakes than any YouTube video could teach. Isn't the whole point of a project like that to get your hands dirty and know you did it yourself?

Three hours of fixing mud lines? That sucks but is it really the end of the world? Some people act like a homeowner trying to help is the biggest crime since someone stealing their favorite trowel.
