My cousin's basement drywall job has me rethinking my own finish techniques.
He invited me over to check out the drywall he installed himself. Up close, the tape lines are clear and the mud isn't smooth. How do you gently correct family when their work doesn't meet pro standards?

Funny how people can be totally blind to their own bad work. That same thing happens with my uncle's cooking every holiday...

Your uncle's cooking just made me think of a truly awful painting I made in high school. I thought it was amazing, which is maybe the real crime here.
