Spent $400 on a Milwaukee drywall screwgun and it's either the best or worst tool I own

I love how fast it drives screws but the clutch keeps slipping on thicker boards, and now I'm wondering if I should've just stuck with my old corded Senco. Has anyone else had this hit-or-miss experience with newer auto-feed guns vs the old manual ones?

Read a review saying those new autofeeds need a break in period before they quit choking on thicker material. Is a pro tool really "pro" if you gotta fight with it for the first few hundred screws to get it workin right?

My buddy spent $300 on a DeWalt autofeed and returned it three days later because it kept jamming on every other screw, he said his old corded Makita never gave him any trouble at all.

Oh man @the_mia, I had the same cash grab experience with a different brand until I switched to a drywall screw gun with a collated attachment, that old school setup still runs like a champ.

Yeah but nobody's talking about how those autofeed guns are actually great if you learn the trick to feed the strip right, it's a finicky thing but once you get the angle it's smooth sailing.
