Just learned the SNES mini came with a secret debug mode

I was digging through an old forum post from 2017 and found out you can press L+R+Start+Select at the title screen to get to a hidden menu. Has anyone here actually tried this on their SNES Classic?

Yeah try holding the buttons down for a full 2-3 seconds before letting go, most people just tap them and it doesn't register. Also make sure you're on the main title screen where it says "Super Nintendo Entertainment System" not in any menu or after a game has loaded. I had the same issue until I held them longer and it popped right up.

Whoa wait, voltage tweaks? That's insane, I never heard that part.

Did you actually get the menu to show up or did you just read about it? I tried that exact button combo on mine a couple years back and nothing happened. I thought maybe I had a different firmware version or something. The whole thing about hidden menus on these classic consoles always sounds cool but half the time it's just people spreading rumors. If you've got a way to make it work I'd love to know, because I've seen people talk about voltage tweaks and region changes being in there. Seems like something that would have been all over the news if it was real.
