Spent 2 hours trying to fix my PS2 only to find a penny inside the disc drive

I picked up a cheap PS2 Slim at a garage sale last weekend for $15. It powered on but wouldn't read any discs, so I spent a solid 2 hours cleaning the laser and adjusting the potentiometer. Turns out some kid had shoved a penny in the disc drive slot and it was blocking the spindle from spinning up. Anyone else find weird stuff inside old consoles?

I found a McDonald's french fry STUCK to the bottom of a Dreamcast fan once. Took me forever to figure out why it was rattling so bad. I poked it out with a paperclip after I opened the shell, and then I used a can of compressed air to blow out any other junk. Had to take the whole console apart again a week later for a different game that got jammed, but that fry was the WEIRDEST one.

Wait, a whole french fry got stuck inside a Dreamcast? Like, not just a crumb but a full size fry. How does that even happen unless someone was actively shoving fries into the fan vents. I'm honestly impressed it didn't cause a fire or something way worse than just a rattle.
