That guy at the retro swap meet who laughed at my Dreamcast collection

Some dude in a faded EarthBound shirt told me Dreamcast games are just 'arcade ports nobody asked for' while I was digging through a $5 bin at the Santa Monica swap meet last Sunday. Has anyone else had someone try to gatekeep what counts as a real console?

The Dreamcast had some legit exclusives like Seaman and Jet Grind Radio though. EarthBound guy probably never even beat Giygas.

EarthBound guy probably never even beat Giygas" is such a funny burn, @kai_chen2. I have to agree about Dreamcast though, it had some wild stuff like Seaman that no other system would touch. Jet Grind Radio still holds up today, which is more than I can say for most EarthBound hot takes.
