Am I the only one who just learned how many volts a typical electric eel can produce?

I was watching a nature documentary with my kid last night, and they said an electric eel can hit around 600 volts. That's more than four times a standard US outlet, which kind of blew my mind. Has anyone here ever had to work on something that made you think about animal electricity?

The voltage is wild, but it's a super short burst. My money's on the power grid for a real shock.

Honestly it's like how people get scared of sharks but car rides are way more dangerous. We focus on the flashy high voltage stuff and miss the boring everyday risks.

Guess you've never met a static shock in winter.
