Pulling a fish tape through a finished wall clicked for me this morning
I kept snagging on the insulation no matter how I angled it, so I taped a strong little magnet to the end and guided it from the outside with another magnet. Took about 90 seconds instead of the usual 20 minute struggle. Anybody else got a weird trick for tight runs?

Dude, the magnet trick is a total game changer, right? Honestly, I had a similar fight trying to snake a wire through an old wall with blown-in cellulose insulation. It kept clumping up and stopping me dead. Ngl, I ended up attaching a small neodymium magnet to the end and using a big speaker magnet on the outside to guide the whole thing around a corner. Took me less than two minutes after that.

This is genius, @jordan_henderson13. The speaker magnet trick is next level. I had a similar situation fishing a network cable through a drop ceiling with a steel grid, and the wire kept getting snagged on the T-bar brackets. I just stuck a rare earth magnet to the end of my fish tape, and it slid across the whole grid no problem. The magnet grabbed onto the metal frame and pulled it through perfectly.

Totally agree, @jordan_henderson13. I used to think magnets were just for fridge stuff, not actual work. Now I cant believe I struggled without one.
