This homeowner in Boise watched me work for 20 minutes and then asked if I could just 'hotwire' his new ceiling fan to an old switch.

He genuinely thought I could bypass the whole box and just twist some wires together, and I had to explain the whole fire hazard thing while he kept pointing at his watch.
