A model rocket lesson that changed how I handle tough elevator jobs

In my experience, I used to feel rushed on complex repair jobs and would skip steps. But helping my daughter build a model rocket over the weekend showed me how breaking things into small parts works better. Now I write out each task for a job before I start, and it keeps me from making silly mistakes. Your mileage may vary, but it has made my work days smoother.

Wow, I rushed too but slow steps make sense now.

Actually not even slow steps... more like careful ones. Rushing gets you there faster but you might miss something important along the way.

Hold up, when you say 'careful ones,' I gotta ask if missing something is really that serious. Moving fast can mean you learn quicker from errors. Not every step needs to be overthought. Often, getting stuff done fast lets you adjust on the fly. I see the point about being careful, but making it sound like rushing is always bad seems wrong. Sometimes you just gotta go for it and deal with things as they come.
