Had a client in Dallas ask for a full face wax, but her skin was on Accutane

Last week, I had to explain why I couldn't do it, which she didn't like. I've seen lifting happen before, about 3 years ago with a different client, and it took months to heal. Do you ever refuse a service even if it means losing the booking?

Yeah, that "worried about getting sued" part is real. I read a whole article about how refusing service for safety reasons is a professional duty, not just a choice.

Honestly, how do you even handle that kind of pushback? Tbh I'd be worried about getting sued if something went wrong.

Ugh, that's the worst. Did she try to argue with you about it? I had a client on a strong retinol cream try to book a peel last month, and I had to shut it down hard. Like @lewis.brian said, the lawsuit fear is real, but for me it's just seeing that damaged skin afterward. Not worth the guilt or the bad review.
