I just waxed my 500th eyebrow and it was on a guy who fell asleep
I hit that number yesterday at the spa in Springfield. The client was so relaxed he started snoring softly while I was shaping his left brow. I had to gently tap his shoulder to finish the job. Has anyone else had a client doze off during a service?

Ryan793 has a point about the safety thing... but honestly, the snoring is the real sign you've made it. Reminds me of this regular I had years ago who would book a facial just to nap. He called it his "expensive alarm clock" because we'd have to wake him up when time was up. Some people just find that whole spa zone completely knockout.

Oh man, that story is so real. I had a client who would do the same thing during scalp massages. My trick was a super gentle, two-step wake up. I'd start by just talking a little louder about the next step, like "Alright, let's move on to the conditioner," while slowing my hands down. If that didn't work, a very light touch on the shoulder, nowhere near the face or tools, always did the trick without any jumps. It kept everything safe and let them come out of it slowly.

Actually, I'd be a little worried about that. If someone is that deeply asleep, they might twitch or jump when you tap them. Could be a safety thing, you know? You don't want a sudden movement near tweezers or wax.

That's the ultimate compliment right there. Means you're doing a great job making people feel at ease. I'd take that as a win.
