PSA: That stubborn milia on a regular's temple took me four appointments to clear
I mean, it was just one tiny spot, but it was deep and kept coming back. I tried gentle extractions, then enzyme peels, and even a light glycolic series. Finally, after the fourth visit, I used a super fine lancet and a different kind of pressure, and it popped right out. The client was so patient, but I felt bad it took that long. Has anyone else had a simple issue turn into a multi-session project?

The sewing needle and lighter thing is a horror story waiting to happen.

Yeah, I've had that happen, and a sterile lancet was the only thing that finally worked for me too.

What gets me is how many people try to pop it with a needle they just wiped with rubbing alcohol. That's not truly sterile for going deep. I saw a guy use a sewing needle he heated with a lighter. The soot and carbon from the flame can actually get pushed into the skin. A sterile lancet is sealed in that little foil pack for a reason, it keeps all that junk out. It's the difference between fixing the problem and maybe causing a worse one.

Ugh, the sewing needle thing is so bad. I had a deep one on my shoulder that wouldn't budge. Got a box of diabetic lancets from the pharmacy. That super sharp, clean point went right in with no pressure. Drained perfectly, healed up fine.
