Tried a new way to mix my enzyme mask and the client loved it

So I was doing a facial last week and ran out of my usual mixing bowl. I grabbed a small plastic cup instead and used a tiny paintbrush to apply the enzyme mask, like you would a clay mask. I mixed it way thinner than normal, maybe a 2:1 liquid to powder ratio. The client said it felt cooler and more even, and her skin looked brighter right after. I think the thinner mix let it dry slower and work better. Has anyone else tried changing up how they apply enzyme masks?

Wow, that's basically a DIY chemical peel with better control.

Wait, you're doing chemical peels at home? That sounds so risky.

Oh lord, I learned that lesson the hard way! You gotta start with the weakest percentage and work up, seriously. I messed up my skin doing a 20% glycolic peel without testing first and had red patches for a week. Start with 5% or 10% TCA if you're brave, but even 15% on your forehead and cheeks is too much if you don't know your skin's limits. The key is timing - 2 minutes max the first time, then build up over weeks. And never, ever mix acids like lactic and salicylic in one go unless you want to look like a tomato.

That thin mix trick sounds like what wren230 meant about control.
