Honestly my own house makes so many weird noises at night, I'm pretty sure it's haunted by my bad financial choices. The floorboards creak like my credit score groaning. Sometimes the fridge turns off and I just assume it's the ghost of that security deposit I never got back. If a real ghost showed up we'd probably just argue over who has to pay the utility bill.

Brooke_taylor's neighbor reminds me how easy it is to blame the supernatural. My old place had a weird hum that kept me up, and it was just a broken air vent. Sometimes the real world is spooky enough without ghosts.
