That $60 'emergency food bucket' from a Facebook ad was a total bust

Saw a flashy ad for a 72-hour emergency food supply bucket, 120 servings for 60 bucks. Figured it'd be good for my hurricane kit down here in Florida. Opened it up when it arrived and the 'meat' pouches were mostly gravy with a few crumbs inside. Checked the fine print online and realized the 'servings' were like a quarter cup each. Learned my lesson about buying survival gear without checking real reviews first. Anyone else get burned by one of those prepper scams?

120 servings my eye, that's maybe 60 if you're lucky.

Did you see that article where they tested this exact brand and found the serving sizes are about half of what's claimed? I read a breakdown from someone who actually weighed out a full batch and it came out to way less than advertised. Guess that tracks with what you're saying, 60 sounds more realistic.

@cole_murphy sounds like he called it right. My buddy bought that same brand and counted them out for a party we had last month. Ended up at 63 pieces in a bag that said 120. So either their counting method is creative accounting or my friend needs new glasses. Either way, I'll stick to buying the store brand where at least I know I'm getting ripped off honestly.
