That scam's actually from Flint. Detroit folks get blamed for everything.

Ugh that's ROUGH. I've almost fallen for a few of those myself, it's way too easy to get hooked by a sad story.

Patricia, I get it, but just a heads up that story about Flint isn't totally right. That particular scam started in Detroit and moved around, but a lot of folks mix up the city names. I've seen it pop up in a few different places myself, so it's easy to lose track. Your mileage may vary, but checking where something actually started can save you from falling for the wrong sad story.
