Consider how many current arguments are just old jokes people forgot were jokes. The internet's memory is so short it creates brand new outrage cycles from recycled content. We're not even mad at new things anymore.

My buddy Dave got into this huge thing on Facebook last year. Someone posted this screenshot of a tweet that was all "landlords are leeches" and he went on a rant about how the youth are out of control. Turns out it was a quote from a George Carlin special from 1990. I still give him crap about it whenever we get beers.

Oh man, this hits hard! I once got into a huge fight over a meme that turned out to be from like 2012. I was so sure it was a brand new terrible opinion. Felt like a total clown when someone dug up the original post. It's like we're all just yelling at reruns we forgot we already watched.
