That time I caught a local news station recycling old outrage footage

I used to trust local news clips were from that day, until I saw the same "angry mom at a school board meeting" clip air three times in two years with different dates in the corner. Found out the station was just pulling old B-roll of someone yelling about a completely different issue to stir up fake drama. Has anyone else noticed these stations reusing the same crowd shots or interviews to manufacture outrage?

Used to roll my eyes at people who said local news was lazy... then I saw the same "screaming dad at a zoning meeting" clip used for three completely different stories over two years and it changed my mind completely.

Does anyone actually keep receipts on this stuff, or do we just let them keep recycling the same grumpy dad in the background for every budget debate? I swear I saw the same "furious taxpayer" waving a sign about school bathrooms get repurposed for a story about road construction funding six months later. Was that really the same clipboard he had? Because that clipboard looks awfully clean for someone supposedly so outraged about potholes.

I think you're overthinking a clip reuse, seeing one angry dad in two stories isn't a conspiracy, it's just a stock photo library working overtime like @baker.christopher already noticed.
