Question about that 'Insta-Heat' portable coffee mug ad I keep seeing

Spent $65 on it after the ad promised boiling water in 90 seconds from any USB port, but it barely got warm after 5 minutes plugged into my car. The return process wanted me to pay $15 for shipping back to a warehouse in New Jersey. Has anyone actually gotten this thing to work as shown, or is it just a fancy paperweight?

Honestly, that separate complaint website says everything you need to know about this scam.

My friend bought one of those for truck stops. It took three minutes to get lukewarm from a power bank she said was fully charged. The whole thing feels cheap, like the plastic lid doesn't even screw on straight. I looked it up and the company has a whole separate website just for handling complaints. You're better off just getting a normal thermos and filling it at a gas station.

Three minutes to lukewarm is pretty sad. Did she say what the power bank's output was? A lot of those cheap warmers need a specific amperage they never tell you about.

Sounds like @jenkins.elizabeth's friend got the same junk.
