PSA: My hoof knife sharpening went from a 10-minute chore to a 2-minute job after I switched to a diamond plate.
I was using a standard whetstone for years, but the 600-grit DMT plate I got last week cuts the steel way faster. Anyone have a favorite angle guide for keeping that bevel consistent?

Oh nice, that's a huge time save. I'm stuck on a cheap stone that takes forever. When you say it cuts faster, is it just the speed of the sharpening itself, or does the diamond plate also need less time to soak or prep before you even start? That's the part that kills me.

The prep time is basically zero, which is the real game changer.

So you're still soaking your stone? That's a waste of time. Diamond plate is ready in seconds, no waiting around.

Wait, you have to soak your stone? That's the worst part. My diamond plate is bone dry, I just splash some water on it and go. No waiting at all, it's ready in like ten seconds.
