My aunt told me to always check the stitching on a $15 Shein dress before buying, and I found a whole sleeve sewn inside out.
I was in a rush and ignored her advice, only to get home and realize the left sleeve was completely inside out, so now I'm curious, what's the most obvious defect you've ever missed on a fast fashion piece?

Saw a story online about someone buying a jacket where the two front pockets were totally different sizes, like one was for a phone and the other for a tablet. They didn't notice until they tried to use them. It's crazy how you can look right at a flaw and your brain just skips over it, especially when you're excited about a cheap find. My brain must have auto-corrected a pair of jeans I got where the back pockets were sewn on crooked. One was practically on my hip. I just assumed it was a weird style choice until my friend pointed it out and I felt like a total fool.

Wait, one pocket on your hip? I mean, how did you even sit down without feeling that? My brain would have short-circuited trying to process that as a style choice.

Honestly though, is it even a defect? I bought a shirt where one stripe was a totally different shade of blue, and I kinda liked it. It made the piece unique, like a little factory mistake that's just for me. Why do we expect perfect stitching from a fifteen dollar dress anyway?
