My entire Shein haul fell apart after three washes
I bought a set of five tops for $35 total back in April, thinking I scored. The first two washes were fine, but by the third, the seams on three of them just came undone (like, full unraveling). I spent more on thread and my time trying to fix them than the clothes cost. Has anyone else had a cheap haul completely self-destruct that fast?

I had a similar thing happen with a batch of tank tops from a discount site. I just stopped buying from those places and now I look for secondhand brand name stuff at the thrift store. It lasts way longer.

Yeah, thrifting is the way to go... I found a ten year old Patagonia fleece that looks brand new, while the cheap one I bought new last winter is already pilling. It's crazy how the good stuff is just built different. You have to dig a little more, but it's so worth it for things that actually hold up.
