My Shein haul from last month is already falling apart

Bought a whole set of summer tops for like $40 total, and after maybe 3 washes the stitching on two of them is completely unraveling. I saw a TikTok about how they use single-thread stitching to cut costs, and now I'm seeing it firsthand. Anyone else have a specific brand where the clothes just disintegrated after a few wears?

Found the opposite with my last Shein order. The basic cotton t-shirts have held up through a dozen washes now, no pilling or loose threads. Maybe it depends on the specific item or factory.

Totally agree, it's such a coin flip sometimes. I snagged a plain tee from there that's still going strong after way more washes than I expected.

That's the gamble with a lot of fast fashion now. Quality control seems totally random, even for the same style. You just never know what you're gonna get.

Remember my friend who bought two of the same Zara blouse in different colors? The black one fell apart after three wears, but the white one is still perfect a year later. It's like they came from totally different planets.
