PSA: That 'haul' from that app cost me way more than the price tag
I saw a viral video of a girl getting a huge box of clothes for $75 from that Temu app. I did the same thing last month. The clothes looked okay in the video, but what showed up was thin, weird fitting, and the stitching came apart on a pair of shorts after one wash. I'm out the $75 plus another $20 I spent trying to fix the shorts. It's not a deal if it's trash after a week. Has anyone actually gotten anything decent from those places, or is it all just landfill bait?

My cousin got a decent phone case once, but that was pure luck honestly.

Remember my buddy's case that snapped in two?

...the only thing that actually worked for me from those cheap apps was a pair of sneakers. They weren't anything fancy, just basic black ones, but I've had them for like 4 months now and they're still holding up. I think the trick is to not buy clothes at all from there, stick to stuff that doesn't need to fit right or survive a washing machine. Phone cases and little household gadgets seem to be hit or miss too, but I got lucky with a set of storage bins that are fine. Honestly, I treat it like a dollar store where you just accept some things are gonna be junk.
