Drive-thru guy handed me a coffee with a fly floating in it and just stared at me
I pulled up to a Burger King in Tulsa last Thursday, ordered a sausage biscuit and coffee. The kid at the window handed me the coffee with a dead fly swimming in the creamer, didn't say sorry or nothing. Has anyone else had a cashier just act like a messed up order is totally normal?

The McDonald's on 42nd street in Tulsa once handed me a hashbrown that was literally grey inside and the cashier just blinked at me like I was the weird one for pointing it out. @thea602 is right though, you gotta pick your battles at these places because they'll just stare at you until you drive off anyway. I've seen bags of lettuce with slime dripping out of them sitting right next to the register and nobody bats an eye. A fly in a coffee is nasty but compared to some of the stuff that accidentally ends up in your food it's practically a garnish. Just gotta laugh it off and move on with your day I guess.

A fly in your coffee is gross no doubt, but it's a fast food drive thru, not a five star restaurant. You're lucky the kid even handed you the coffee at all instead of making you wait ten more minutes for a remake. Birds fly around those places all the time, stuff happens. If you really cared you would've just asked for a new one instead of coming here to post about it. Burgers are slapped together in thirty seconds, a stray fly is pretty low on the list of things to get worked up over.

Totally agree on the "you're lucky they didn't make you wait" part. People act like these places have some kind of clean room where food is prepared. I've worked fast food before and saw a bird literally fly through the kitchen and land on the fry station. Nobody even flinched, just shooed it away and kept going. If a fly in your coffee is the worst thing that happens to you at a drive thru, you're having a good day compared to some of the stuff I've seen go into burgers.
