Got the same burger from two different locations and it was like night and day

Honestly, I grabbed a double cheeseburger from the Burger Barn on Oak Street last Tuesday and it was perfect. Then on Friday, I got the exact same order from their spot over on 5th Avenue. Tbh, the 5th Ave one was a total fail. The patties were thin and burnt, the cheese wasn't melted, and they forgot the pickles. Ngl, it's wild how different the same meal can be from places just a few miles apart. Has anyone else had this happen with a specific chain where one location is always good and another is just a mess?

Sounds like they hired a ghost in the kitchen.

What's the point of a chain if nothing's the same? You're basically just hoping the right manager showed up that day. Total waste of money.

Tell me about it, I swear some chains are a total gamble depending on the location. There's a taco place near me where the downtown spot is amazing, but the one by the mall serves the saddest, coldest food I've ever had. Makes you wonder who they hired to run that place, lol. It's so frustrating when you're craving something specific and you get a completely different meal. Really feels like they don't care about keeping things the same.
