I actually liked that $8.99 'nacho burger' everyone's trashing

I saw all the posts hating on the new nacho burger from that chain so I had to try it myself. Spent $8.99 plus tax last Tuesday at the one on Elm Street. Honestly? It wasn't that bad. The chips on top stayed crunchy for me and the cheese sauce was actually warm, not cold like some folks said. Sure the bun got a little soggy by the end but what burger doesn't after 10 minutes. I think people just expect too much for fast food prices these days. Anyone else give it a fair shot and not hate it?

Man, that's SO true! I remember when Taco Bell brought back the Mexican Pizza last year, people were LOSING their minds online about it. But then like a month after it came back, I barely heard anyone talking about it again. Same thing worked for me with Burger King's old chicken fries. I hyped myself up for months and when they finally came back, I ate them twice and was like "okay, that was fine." The hype is always way bigger than the actual payoff.

McDonald's is the perfect example. Everyone trashes their burgers online but then the McRib comes back and suddenly it's a national holiday. My local joint gets roasted all the time on social media but when they brought back those loaded tots people were lining up around the block. Same with Taco Bell's Bell Beefer years ago, people begged for it then it came back and nobody bought it. Just how it goes I guess.

The original nacho burger is a perfect example of people just wanting to complain about something. You paid 8.99 for a fast food burger with chips on it, what did you expect, a gourmet meal? People act like it's some kind of failure when the bun gets a little soft, but that's just physics. If the chips stayed crunchy for you that's already a win, most fast food places can't even keep fries crispy by the time you get home. I think all these internet hate trains are just people who already made up their minds before they even bit into it. If you go in ready to hate something, you will always find a reason to. The only real problem with that burger is that it costs too much for what it is, but that's every fast food item now anyway.
