The cashier who fixed my whole order without me asking

I was at a Taco Bell drive-thru last month and they gave me the WRONG bag with someone else's food. I drove off and didn't realize until I was 10 minutes away. I went back inside really frustrated and this cashier named Maria just said "I got you" and remade everything in like 3 minutes flat. She even added extra sauce packets without me saying anything. Has anyone else had a fast food worker actually SAVE your day instead of ruining it?

Dang, yeah Maria sounds like a real one. Reminds me of this time at a Popeyes where the guy behind the counter saw me staring at the menu for like five minutes and just went "you want the spicy chicken sandwich with extra pickles, don't you?" and I was like yes, please, how did you know. He was right and it was the best damn chicken sandwich I've had in years. Some people just get it.

See, I gotta push back a little here @emmamason because that Popeyes guy was just doing his job and making a safe bet on their most popular item, right? It's not exactly the same as Maria actually knowing your specific taste and caring enough to make something just for you.

@alice928 you're overthinking it, man. Maria matched the energy of that Popeyes guy just in her own way. Good service is good service no matter how you slice it.
