Vent: My local Burger Barn gave me a choice between a cold burger or a 40 minute wait

I went through the drive-thru and they told me my order got mixed up, so I could either take the burger they had ready (which was sitting out and totally cold) or wait for a fresh one. I picked the fresh one, but they made me park and it actually took 40 minutes, which is crazy for a fast food place. Has anyone else had a Burger Barn just totally stop being fast?

Remember when they used to just make a new one right away? Had a similar thing happen at a taco place last week, got handed a cold burrito and they acted like I was crazy for asking them to heat it up.

That "act like you're crazy" part is key. When did expecting what you paid for become a hassle? It feels like they're training us to just accept less.
