Warning: The $15 'secret menu' burger at the Burger Barn on 5th Street is a scam
I spent $15 on their 'Barnyard Buster' after seeing it hyped online. It was just a regular double cheeseburger with a sad onion ring and some cold barbecue sauce dumped on top. The cashier looked at me like I was crazy when I ordered it. Has anyone else fallen for a 'secret menu' item that was just a lazy mess?

Yeah, I got burned by a secret menu breakfast burrito that was just eggs and ketchup. I just ask for the regular stuff now and add my own toppings at home. It's cheaper and you actually get what you want.

Honestly @finley_shah64 that's smart. I mean, the whole secret menu thing feels like a trap sometimes. It's just the kitchen throwing random stuff together and calling it special. I tried a "secret" burger once that was just a regular one with pickles and mustard, which they charged two bucks extra for. Making it yourself is the only way to know what you're really getting.

Ugh, my friend paid eight bucks for "secret sauce" mayo.

Wait, is this the same "secret sauce" that some places are charging $5-$8 for now? I've seen it on social media where it's basically just fancy mayo with maybe some chipotle or sriracha mixed in. I don't get the hype. I just started mixing my own at home with regular mayo, a little lemon juice, and whatever hot sauce I have lying around. Saves me a ton and tastes better honestly.
