Was skeptical about that TikTok hack to ask for fresh fries at the drive thru but last week I tried it at a McDonald's in Phoenix and they actually made them right in front of me.
The cashier didn't even hesitate, just said 'hold on' and came back 4 minutes later with a steaming bag, has anyone else had this actually work or did I just get lucky with a nice employee?

Ha! 4 minutes is basically fast food eternity. You definitely found the one McDonald's employee who hasn't been completely crushed by the system yet.

Oh come on, it's just fries. People act like this is some life changing fast food miracle when it's literally hot potatoes in a bag with some salt. I guess it's nice if you care that much about them being fresh, but waiting four extra minutes for fries you're gonna inhale in about 90 seconds seems like a lot of buildup for not much payoff.

The other day I waited 6 minutes for my fries and by the time I got them I'd already finished my burger and had to eat them cold on the drive home... kinda defeated the whole point honestly.
