Got a weird squeak out of a floating floor by putting a dab of wood glue in the groove
Last week in a 12x14 bedroom, a click-lock laminate plank had a loud squeak right in the middle of the room. I didn't want to pull the whole floor apart, so I squeezed a tiny bit of Titebond into the groove of the problem board and tapped it back together. Has anyone else fixed a noise like this without a full tear-up, or is this a bad idea that'll cause issues later?

Remember that old trick with a bar of soap on a wooden drawer slide? I used a tiny sliver of dry soap on a squeaky floorboard edge once, just rubbed it into the seam. It actually shut it up for a good while and didn't stick anything together. Might be a safer thing to try before committing to glue.

That "tiny bit" of glue is a bad idea, it'll lock that board in place and cause way worse buckling later.
