Got called out by a client for my plank layout on a big LVT job

Honestly, this homeowner in Tempe pointed out that my starter rows were creating a noticeable repeating pattern across her open floor plan. She said, 'It looks like a factory floor, not a real wood floor.' I used to just focus on keeping things square and tight. Now, I open boxes from three different lots at once and mix the planks before I even start laying them down. It adds maybe 30 minutes to my prep, but the end result looks way more random and natural. Anyone else have a trick for breaking up the pattern on those long runs?

Flip every third box end for end.

I used to think that was overkill, but seeing the difference changed my mind.

Try laying from multiple boxes at once to really break up the pattern.
