A lady came back to my shop just to say the flowers made her mom smile

It was a simple order, just a $35 mixed bouquet with some sunflowers. She picked it up on a Tuesday for her mom's birthday. Yesterday, she walked back in and said her mom, who's been feeling down, smiled for the first time in weeks when she saw them. She didn't want to buy anything else, just wanted to tell me. That stuck with me more than any big wedding contract. It's easy to get caught up in the big events, but sometimes the small stuff matters most. Has a simple comment from a client ever made your whole week?

Sounds like you're a florist, not a shop owner.

What did they mean by that, @fionam11? That line really hits a nerve, like your actual skill doesn't count if you're also the one in charge. It's such a cheap way to talk down to someone who's clearly doing both jobs. I feel for whoever they said that to, it's just plain rude. Makes you wonder why some folks have to be so dismissive.

Wait, did someone actually say that to a business owner? That's so out of line. Honestly, it just sounds like they're trying to make the person feel small for no reason.
