Appreciation post: I compared two local flower wholesalers for a month and the choice was obvious
I used to split my weekly orders between two suppliers, but after tracking stem quality and vase life for 30 days, one consistently had roses that lasted 7 days longer. The difference was their cold chain delivery, which the other place just didn't manage as well. Anyone else found a supplier detail that made a huge difference for your shop?

Wow, I always thought vase life was mostly about care after delivery. Seeing that cold chain made a week's difference is a game changer. I'm definitely checking my supplier's delivery setup now.

Honestly the cold chain helps but it's not everything. I've seen flowers from the same supplier last totally different times in the same shop. A lot comes down to how they were grown and handled before they even got on the truck.

My roses from last week barely made it five days. I guess my fridge is a bad cold chain, which makes me feel better about what @simonk98 said. The grower probably had a bad day too.

Wait does that mean even the best fridge can't fix a bad batch, or is it more about how fast they got to you after being cut? @ramirez.vera you've seen that firsthand with different suppliers right?
