Had a crazy good Saturday where every single order came out perfect
I nailed 14 wedding bouquets and 3 sympathy arrangements in one day last weekend, and the best part was that no one called to complain about wilted stems or wrong colors, has anyone else had a day where everything just clicked like that?

I learned to soak certain stems overnight after losing 3 sympathy arrangements to wilting once.

Oh wow, yeah I used to just eyeball it with stems and hope for the best. I mean I always thought soaking them overnight was overkill, like why bother if they're fresh. But then I had a big arrangement for a funeral and half the flowers were droopy by the next morning, it was a mess. Now I soak the tougher stems for like 8-10 hours and it makes a huge difference, especially with things like hydrangeas or sunflowers.

Blew a whole weekend once boiling hydrangea stems because I read it would keep them from wilting, then forgot them in the pot and the ends turned to mush. Had to drive back to the grocery store at 8pm for replacements, and the only white hydrangeas left were those sad little mini ones that look like they're from a gas station bouquet. So now I just do the overnight soak like you said, no shortcuts, and I keep a bucket of water on the counter with a sticky note so I don't forget.
