I doubted the need for a full crew on big orders.
Now I see a good team makes huge orders manageable.

I was wrong about that.

Seeing an order for 800 custom pieces go out yesterday proved the team thing for me. I actually gasped when I read the original post doubting crew size. @henry_fox admitting he was wrong is a big deal because it's so easy to underestimate. One person trying to handle that many items would miss so many details. We learned the hard way during a holiday rush with half the staff. Every single role, from labeling to loading, needs a focused person to keep things smooth.

Oh wow, yeah no kidding. It's one of those things you don't get until you watch it fall apart. Trying to be the hero and do it all yourself just means everything takes forever and the small stuff gets messed up. Every single job, even the boring ones, needs someone's full attention or the whole system jams up. Watching a good team move a huge order is like seeing a machine built out of people. It pretty much proves the point for you.
