Rant: The time a bride's bouquet wilted right before the ceremony in that 95-degree Charleston heat.
I had to send my assistant sprinting to the nearest grocery store for a bag of ice to plunge the stems into, which bought us just enough time to rehydrate the roses and get them to her before the processional, but has anyone else found a better trick for a true emergency wilt?

Seriously, it's just flowers. They were going to wilt in the heat anyway, right? The bride still got married. Feels like a lot of drama over something that dies in a vase a week later. People need to chill about the small stuff.

The mental image of someone doing a full speed run for ice is kind of hilarious. My only other panic move is dunking the whole bouquet in a sink of cold water for a few minutes, stems and all. It makes a huge mess but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

It's funny how often the best solution is just the most basic, frantic version of normal care.
