The unexpected beauty of sticking to seasonal flowers
I used to think exotic flowers were needed for impressive arrangements. When a big order fell through, I had to use only seasonal local blooms. The feedback was amazing, with clients noting how fresh and unique they looked. Now, I plan my designs around what's in season each month.

Totally believed the same thing about needing rare flowers to stand out. Had a supplier mess up once and forced me to work with just whatever was growing nearby that week. The arrangements looked more alive, somehow. Clients actually started asking for that "from the garden" style by name. It completely flipped how I plan my work now. There's a real strength in not fighting the calendar.

Did we all need a fancy order to fall through to figure out the simple stuff? I mean, it's almost a joke how that works. Now seasonal is the new special, after we acted like it was just backup plans.

Last June, my local garden yielded seven surprising blooms that completely changed my view on "special" flowers.
