Visited that new flower market in Portland and their pricing model is a real head-scratcher

I was at the Portland Flower Exchange last week, and I noticed they're charging a flat $15 fee just to walk in and browse, which they say is a 'market access fee' (it's not a co-op, you still pay for the flowers on top of that). I get that markets have costs, but putting a gate fee on a wholesale space feels like it pushes out smaller shops and hobbyists who might just need a small, specific thing. Has anyone else run into a set-up like this, and did you find it was worth it for the quality?

Did you check if they refund the fee if you buy something?

Better question is if they refund the fee when you return the thing you bought.
