Stopped by the library in Springfield and their business center had a free tax workshop

The presenter showed a simple spreadsheet she uses to track quarterly payments, which made me realize I've been overcomplicating mine. Has anyone found a good template for that, or do you just build your own from scratch?

That "simple spreadsheet" idea sounds good but it's too basic for me. I need to track deductions by category and mileage, not just payments. Building my own from scratch is the only way to get what you actually need.

Ugh, tell me about it. I tried that basic template last quarter and it totally fell apart when I needed to split my internet bill between work and personal use. Had to redo everything by hand in April. Building your own is annoying at first but saves so much headache later.

Totally get where you're coming from @kelly.patricia. Honestly building your own sheet is the move if you need those details. Tried a basic one last year and it was useless for taxes.

My buddy's template crashed right before his CPA meeting.
