Just blew $500 on a 'client finder' tool that was total garbage
I saw an ad for this software that promised to send out perfect pitch emails and track leads automatically. Bought the yearly plan for $500 thinking it would save me hours. It sent out emails to completely wrong people, like reaching out to dog groomers for my web design work. The tracking part barely worked and I got zero replies from the mess it made. Has anyone found a decent way to find clients that doesn't cost a fortune?

That "perfect pitch emails" promise is a total trap. My buddy got burned by a similar tool that just spammed random business listings. He ended up finding way better leads just by talking to people in local online groups for free.

Right on, local groups are genuinely underrated for this kind of thing. People are way more likely to respond to a real person in a community space than some cold email that looks like a template lol. It's all about that human touch, spammy tools just kill any trust before you even get a word in.
