Saw a guy at the Denver co-working space charging $200 an hour for basic web work

I was at The Source in Denver last week and overheard a guy telling his friend his rate. He's doing simple WordPress sites, nothing fancy. One side says he's smart to charge that much if people pay it, the other says he's pricing himself out of work. What's the line between knowing your worth and being unrealistic?

My rate is free and I still scare clients off.

What if you're just too good? @eva_moore I've seen this happen. Someone offers a free service, but they list every single thing they'll do. It sounds like a huge project and people get scared. Maybe just say "free logo design" and send a quick sketch first. Too much info upfront can make a simple task feel like a huge deal.

Ever think you might be over-explaining? I used to talk way too much before even starting and it made people nervous. Honestly, just keep it simple and get to the work.
