My uncle told me to never take a job for under $500 a day

I ignored him for a $350 gig in Phoenix last month and the client demanded 12 revisions, basically working for free. Anyone else have a hard price floor they won't go below?

My cousin took a $200 gig that turned into her biggest client for three years straight. Sometimes you gotta eat a bad job to get your foot in the door.

My first web design job was $250 and the guy wanted a whole e-commerce site. Learned real fast that low price tags come with crazy demands. I don't even answer emails for less than $75 an hour now.

Remember how you felt during that first job. Did you ever get paid the full amount, or did the demands make you walk away first?

My first year freelancing I took a $150 logo job for a friend's startup. That project dragged on for two months with endless changes and late night calls. I used to believe any work was good work, but that experience totally flipped my view. Now my absolute bottom line is $400 per project. Cheap clients always seem to expect the most for nothing. Setting that firm price filter saves me from those nightmare situations.
