Vent: My shellac bloomed on a 1920s vanity in 90% humidity

I was finishing a piece in my garage last July and the whole surface went cloudy before my eyes. Had to strip it back to bare wood and start over, which took a full extra day. Anyone know a good dehumidifier for a small shop?

Garages are brutal on wood. Mine warped a whole set of chairs last winter. The damp cold just gets into everything. Such a frustrating way to lose good furniture.

Garages really are wood's worst enemy, @abby_martinez. I once stored a nice side table out there and it swelled up like a sponge, lol. Had to use the legs for firewood in the end.
