After a year of daily use, I'm convinced most phone camera talk is way too picky.

Honestly, I've been using my mid-range phone's camera for everything from family pics to product shots. Tbh, after seeing all the hyper-focused talk on minor specs, I think they overlook how good it is for real life. Ngl, hitting 10,000 photos without feeling the need to upgrade feels like a win. Most folks would say I'm missing out, but for my needs, it's more than enough.

Wait, I get where you're coming from but I've gotta disagree. My old phone took okay photos in daylight but really struggled indoors or at night, and that stuff matters for real life too. When I tried to get a clear shot of my kid's soccer game in the evening, everything was just a blurry mess. Upgrading to a better camera made a huge difference for those moments. The specs might seem picky, but they actually fix problems you run into all the time.

Did you used to think camera specs were just marketing hype too? I always said my phone's camera was fine for daylight shots. But hearing about your blurry soccer game photos makes me realize I've missed moments in dim light too. Now I get why people care about those tech details. They actually make a difference when you need them most.

Calling specs 'marketing hype' is STILL spot on for most daily shots. @robert_ross95's blurry game photos are rare, and we can just use flash or something.
