Just realized my sleep tracker is stressing me out more than helping

I bought a sleep tracker last year to get better rest. At first, it was cool to see my sleep patterns and how long I was in deep sleep. I felt like I was taking charge of my health. But now, I find myself checking the app first thing every morning and feeling bad if my sleep score is low. Some nights I wake up feeling fine, but the gadget says my REM sleep was poor. My friend says her tracker totally fixed her bedtime routine and she loves it. I'm stuck between relying on the numbers or just going by how I feel. Anyone else have this clash with their health gadgets?

Man, my fitness watch had me so stressed about calories burned that I started hating workouts. Felt like I was working for the gadget, not myself.

I mean, it's just a gadget, right? If you feel fine but the numbers say you're wrong, maybe you should trust your body over an app. Sometimes I wonder if all this tracking just makes us worry more.

Ugh, @johnson.river's right, apps boss us around too much.
