My smart thermostat took three days to recognize my Wi-Fi

I bought this new smart thermostat last week, and the setup was a nightmare. It kept failing to connect, and I had to restart the process over ten times. Finally, after three days of trying, it magically worked when I moved the router two inches closer. I've never felt so silly for being excited about a temperature setting.

Calling it a "nightmare" over three days of thermostat setup seems a bit much.

Bro, the mental toll from constant failure is real.

My old Honeywell thermostat took me a full weekend to get working right. I used to agree that calling tech trouble a nightmare was over the top. But after the third time it locked me out and reset the schedule, I was just done. The constant small failures when you just want a basic thing to work really do wear you down.
