Showerthought: I used to write my reviews on my phone right after unboxing.
Now I force myself to live with a gadget for at least two weeks before saying anything. My old review of the Anker 737 power bank was just specs, but after carrying it on a trip to Seattle, I talked about how it actually fit in my bag. What's the minimum time you test something before you feel you can review it fairly?

I read a tech blog that said two weeks is the sweet spot for most gadgets. It gives you time to get past the new toy feeling and notice the little annoyances. My rule is I have to finish a full charge cycle on something like a power bank before I trust my opinion. What kind of trip were you on in Seattle?

My buddy bought a fancy portable power bank last year and swore by it until it melted his charging cable on day twelve at a Phillies game. Two weeks would've saved him a fried phone and some serious embarrassment with his boss.

Trust your two-week rule, betty_perry24, but my power bank died before I even left the hotel.
